Keeping Up Appearances

So I suck at keeping up with this blog thing. Nothing new. We're in full swing here at the homeschool front and I gotta say, I'm exhausted already. It's hard to plan a day around a 5 month old breastfed baby. Even harder when my 5th grade son doesn't want to stay focused on the tasks so we can get done! I guess I set myself up for this. I'm not sure if I should be relaxing a little more and practice some unschooling here, or if I'm not getting enough done.

Oh, and the software I was using to keep track of everything...out the window. I'm finding it much easier to do weekly lesson plans on a simple spread sheet. I've made a form that contains everything the Pa dept. of Ed. wants to see in a portfolio all on one page per week. The date, how many days of instruction we've had for the week and what lessons we covered and the books/materials used. hope it's good enough. In addition to the samples of work and such, I plan on adding a few other forms to the mix as well, in case we get a finicky evaluator.
